I had a fantastic stay at The Blue Door Inn for a weekend getaway. The property had a lovely cottage feel and was beautifully decorated. Everything was spotless and the room was very comfortable. The owner, Christine, was incredibly helpful and provided clear instructions for the keyless pad before my arrival. She even answered my questions with a friendly and courteous manner. I highly recommend staying at this amazing find with abundant amenities and a nice snack tray upon arrival. Would definitely come back!
Strongly recommend this hotel.

DISAPPOINTED DISASTER
In general: I spoke with the host before coming and told her I would need to show up at 12 because I have a baby shower after the normal check in. she said it was totally fine! I showed up the next day at 11:45am.. 15 mins early.. to be greeted with banging on my door telling me to get out. I was in the shower so I had to get out in my towel and sit in my car for 15mins..she then started Questioning why I was in the shower if I had JUST gotten here. Who cares when I take a shower. I’m paying $75 for this? Then she began yelling at me again after the official check in at 12 that I’m now 3 hours early even though we discussed 12 with emails for proof. She then started telling me that my dog needed to be on a leash inside of the room even though we agreed that my dog was perfectly fine to come. She was so unprofessional it made me uneasy. I’ve never been spoken to like that.. I also never mentioned the horrible case of roaches this room had. I don’t even know how this lady is still in business. I will never come back here. The toilet was broken which she told me it was and I said to please not stress I understand that things happen and I would work around it. When I arrived I couldn’t even walk in the room with out shoes on. She also had a dog that wouldn’t stop barking all day.. It was ridiculous I couldn’t relax I will never get any kind of “hotel” arrangement like this again because this was traumatizing. I feel robbed. My entire reason for coming to this horror house was for my friends baby shower which I barely attended due to harassing emails telling asking me where I was and why am I not there and why is there another car in the driveway. I responded promptly and kindly to her questions and explained this was my other car that my sister drove and that I was at a baby shower. Christine then emailed back and told me off and told Me to get back NOW and that she was calling the police. I was then had to leave after only one hour because this crazy host called the police on me because I wasn’t there at the room when she said I needed to be. I’m so beyond upset.. I was robbed.. I never got to stay here... and she won’t return my money. She is a crook. & I will be taking this matter to court Location and surroundings: Ghetto. Dirty. Loud. Service: Horrible. Room: Dirty.
